Waitaki Operations
Taylor first joined TMC in 2015, working as a TC for a large film job for Disney’s feature film “Pete’s Dragon” in Tapanui.
Since then, Taylor has worked his way up the ranks and is now one of our most experienced STMS’s and in charge of our Waitaki depot. Based in Oamaru, he works directly with clients and manages the other TTM staff in Waitaki, including training new staff and communicating with the Traffic Management Coordinators at Waitaki District Council.
He has a Class 2 licence and also completed the STMS Level 2/3 NP course and the new TTM Mentor qualification under NZTA’s new training model. This allows him to run the new TTM Worker course, and train and verify TMO and STMS candidates to get them ready for assessment for practicing qualifications.
Taylor has undertaken a huge variety of traffic management jobs across Waitaki, Dunedin, Clutha and Invercargill. Most recently he was commended for his professional work on the Severn St wall rebuild project in Oamaru, for which the head contractor won the 2021 Civil Contractors NZ Otago Best Project under $1 million.
